This is an ad we found in an issue of Popular Mechanics magazine from the 1950's pitching this book. And, as a matter of fact, this book is the most detailed and easily understood publication that we have ever seen concerning the Auto-Lite electrical systems that were standard equipment as used on every Willys vehicle to include cars, trucks and Jeeps. This manual was first published August 1, 1950.

This is a Department of the Army Technical Manual dated November 1952, 396 pages, 6" x 9", soft cardstock covers, three hole punched and shrink wrapped. This is a 1999 Brooklands Books Ltd publication. Having been discontinued in 1948 the Jeepster name was revived in 1967. In the Mid-sixties the recreational vehicle market had blossomed and manufacturers were rapidly filling the void. The Jeepster was introduced as a blend of a street and off-road machine with extra lifestyle luxuries added to its specification. With the take-over by American Motors the bodywork received a cosmetic makeover. The Commando became the workhorse station wagon in its various guises.
