FRONT POWER TAKE-OFF

The 640633 Spicer Mod. 18-H Front Power Take-off utilizes engine power both with the vehicle standing or in motion. Drive for the power take-off is taken from the transfer case main drive gear through an internal type sliding gear. The sliding gear is mounted in the shift housing and the shift lever controls this gear to engage and disengage the drive. A conventional type poppet ball and spring prevents disengagement of the gear. The shift assembly is lubricated from the transfer case and no attention is required other than regular lubrication of the transfer case.

This Power Take-off is designed to drive equipment mounted at the rear of the vehicle through a shaft drive assembly and drive trailed equipment or operate belt driven machines and shaft driven winches.
